Lead the strategic development and economic growth of high‑performance data center sites, driving site selection, capital planning, and stakeholder engagement to ensure uptime, capacity, and flexibility across the cloud infrastructure portfolio.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end site selection, feasibility studies, and economic impact analysis for new data center locations.
- Develop and manage capital budgets, cost models, and ROI projections to support investment decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and legal teams to align site design, construction, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage with local governments, utilities, and community stakeholders to secure permits, incentives, and public support.
- Track and report on project milestones, financial performance, and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in data center development, economic development, or infrastructure project management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and GIS tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and utility procurement processes.
