Software Engineer
Lead end‑to‑end data center construction projects, overseeing design, electrical and HVAC systems, vendor coordination, budgeting, and safety compliance to deliver resilient, high‑performance facilities on schedule.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and execute data center construction projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and business goals.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including architects, electrical and HVAC engineers, and contractors—to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
- Manage vendor selection, contracts, and performance, guaranteeing quality, timeliness, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Develop and control project budgets, track expenditures, and report financial status to stakeholders.
- Enforce construction safety standards and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of the build.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 7+ years of experience managing data center or large‑scale IT infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in electrical distribution, HVAC, raised‑floor, and fire suppression systems specific to data center environments.
- Strong project management skills, including schedule development, budget control, and risk management; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation abilities, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Solid understanding of construction safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA) and ability to enforce compliance on site.
