Lead the reliability and performance of AWS data center infrastructure by overseeing electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems, driving preventive maintenance, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement of physical operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment across multiple data center sites.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifecycle performance.
- Lead rapid response to emergent incidents, coordinating cross‑functional teams to restore services and mitigate impact.
- Collaborate with engineering, facilities, and security teams to design and implement infrastructure upgrades and capacity expansions.
- Analyze performance data, generate reliability reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of data center or large‑scale facilities experience.
- Deep expertise in power distribution, HVAC, fire suppression, and building management systems.
- Proven track record of leading preventive maintenance programs and managing emergency response operations.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret equipment metrics and implement reliability improvements.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
