Data Center Capacity Engineer responsible for analyzing capacity trends, modeling future demand, and partnering with hardware, network, and operations teams to provision and optimize compute, storage, and network resources across a global data center fleet.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze server and infrastructure capacity trends to forecast future demand for compute, storage, and network resources.
- Develop and maintain capacity models that inform long‑term provisioning and scaling strategies.
- Collaborate with hardware, network, and site operations teams to plan and deliver capacity at scale.
- Identify and recommend optimizations to improve resource utilization and operational efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into technical capacity plans and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with experience in capacity modeling and trend analysis.
- Deep understanding of server architecture, networking, and data center operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and scripting (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Experience in large‑scale, high‑availability environments is a plus.
