Data Center Analyst responsible for operating, monitoring, and optimizing enterprise data‑center infrastructure, including Linux/Windows servers, virtualization, and network components, while automating tasks with scripting and ensuring service reliability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers (Linux, Windows Server, VMware) to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Monitor network devices (Cisco switches/routers) and resolve connectivity issues across the data‑center.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Python to streamline provisioning, patching, and reporting.
- Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to proactively detect performance anomalies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support application deployments, capacity planning, and disaster‑recovery testing.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in data‑center operations, including server and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments, virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V), and Cisco networking.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms (Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar).
- ITIL or similar service‑management certification is a plus.
