Data Cabling Engineer responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high‑speed data cabling across commercial and industrial sites, leveraging expertise in network infrastructure, Cisco equipment, CCTV, VoIP, and electrical systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and test structured cabling systems to meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, switches, and VoIP equipment.
- Integrate CCTV and other telecommunication devices, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess site requirements, develop cable routing plans, and coordinate with electrical and mechanical contractors.
- Document installation procedures, perform cable certification, and generate detailed reports for quality assurance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data cabling, network infrastructure, and telecommunication systems.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, VoIP technologies, and CCTV installations.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, grounding, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
