Software Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions on Google Cloud, driving data architecture, modeling, and governance for high‑performance analytics and reporting.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade data architectures on Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define data models, schemas, and metadata standards that support business intelligence and machine learning initiatives.
- Implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, lineage, and security across multi‑region deployments.
- Define and enforce data governance policies, including access controls, data retention, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Optimize query performance and storage costs, leveraging partitioning, clustering, and materialized views.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture or senior data engineering roles, with a strong focus on cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
- Hands‑on experience designing data models, building ETL pipelines, and implementing data governance frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
