Database Administrator
Lead design and implementation of secure, scalable AWS cloud data infrastructure, leveraging CloudFormation and advanced DBA practices to ensure high availability and robust access control.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy enterprise‑grade data solutions on AWS, using CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Design and maintain database schemas, performance tuning, and backup strategies across relational and NoSQL platforms.
- Implement and enforce strict access control policies, integrating IAM, KMS, and VPC security groups.
- Collaborate with data engineering and security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cost and performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or Senior DBA in AWS environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (RDS, Aurora, Redshift, DynamoDB) and CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of database design, query optimization, and data governance.
- Hands‑on experience with IAM, KMS, and network security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
