Software Engineer
Conducts quantitative analysis and program evaluations to inform service delivery, using statistical modeling, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools to generate actionable insights for senior leadership.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute program evaluation studies, including logic models, outcome measurement, and impact analysis.
- Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from multiple sources to support research and reporting needs.
- Develop statistical models and perform quantitative analyses using Python, R, or similar tools to identify trends and inform decision‑making.
- Create interactive dashboards and visual reports (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) that communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including data engineers and service managers, to ensure data quality and alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare concise written summaries and presentations for senior leadership and external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, program evaluation, or research within a social services or public sector context.
- Proficiency in SQL and a statistical programming language such as Python or R.
- Strong ability to translate complex data into clear visualizations and actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings to senior audiences.
