Software Engineer
Analyze mission‑critical data and metrics for space programs, building dashboards and statistical models using Python, SQL and visualization tools while maintaining required security clearance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and transform large datasets from aerospace systems to support program performance tracking.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI for senior leadership and engineering teams.
- Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling in Python to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers, program managers, and security officers to ensure data integrity and compliance with classified information handling requirements.
- Document data pipelines, analytical methodologies, and metric definitions to enable reproducibility and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years of analytical experience.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn) and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Hands‑on experience building visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong statistical analysis skills and ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Active U.S. security clearance (or ability to obtain) and familiarity with handling classified data.
