Data Engineer
Data Analytics Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS services to enable data-driven decision making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Implement ETL processes using Python, SQL, and Apache Spark to deliver clean, high‑quality datasets for analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve data quality and processing efficiency.
- Maintain and extend cloud‑based data infrastructure on AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR) ensuring security, compliance, and cost‑effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a data engineer or analytics engineer, with strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Hands‑on expertise with Apache Spark, ETL frameworks, and data warehousing concepts.
- Solid understanding of AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR) and experience deploying solutions in the cloud.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
