Data Analyst
Data Analyst role focused on extracting, cleaning, and visualizing energy consumption data to support smart‑meter initiatives, using SQL, Python and BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, transform, and load large volumes of smart‑meter data from multiple sources into analytical databases.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau to monitor energy usage trends and performance metrics.
- Perform statistical analysis and modelling to identify consumption patterns, forecast demand, and support sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Document data pipelines, analytical methods, and findings for stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and performance tuning.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib/seaborn.
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Power BI or Tableau.
- Solid understanding of statistical techniques and ability to apply them to real‑world energy data.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
