Data Analyst role delivering data pipelines, analytics, and visualizations for a Department of Defense client, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud services while maintaining an active Secret clearance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store large‑volume defense data sets.
- Develop interactive dashboards and visual reports using Tableau and Power BI to support decision‑making for senior stakeholders.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling in Python to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including data engineers, subject‑matter experts, and security officers—to ensure data solutions meet mission‑critical requirements and compliance standards.
- Document data workflows, data dictionaries, and analytical methodologies, and provide knowledge transfer to client personnel.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern data stack components (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue).
