Data Analyst – Payroll role focused on accurate, timely payroll processing, leveraging HRIS, Excel, and SQL to analyze payroll data, ensure compliance, and support HR and accounting functions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update HRIS and payroll databases, performing data validation and cleanup.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports, trend analyses, and variance explanations for management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax filings.
- Respond to employee inquiries, resolve payroll discrepancies, and coordinate adjustments with HR and accounting.
Requirements
- 3+ years of payroll or payroll data analysis experience.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paychex).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to spot data inconsistencies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across HR, finance, and operations teams.
