Data Analyst
Data Analyst role focused on transforming retail and e‑commerce data into actionable insights using Python, SQL, Tableau and Power BI, supporting a mid‑transformation PE‑backed retailer across the UK and Ireland.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest and cleanse data from multiple retail and e‑commerce sources.
- Build and optimize interactive dashboards in Tableau and Power BI to deliver real‑time business insights to stakeholders.
- Perform advanced analytical modeling, including predictive and prescriptive techniques, to support inventory, pricing and marketing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements, validate results and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Document data models, processes and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with data governance standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in a retail or e‑commerce environment.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong experience with Tableau and Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with relational databases.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into business‑friendly insights.
