About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large volumes of network and security data from the FAA Telecommunications and Integrated Services environment.
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and scripts using Python and PowerShell to streamline data collection, cleansing, and validation.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and SQL queries to generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations that highlight security anomalies and trends.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for threat mitigation and system hardening.
- Perform data integrity checks, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure compliance with FAA data governance standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis, scripting (Python or PowerShell), and SQL for extracting and manipulating large datasets.
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Expertise with advanced Excel features (pivot tables, Power Query, VBA) for data modeling and reporting.
- Ability to identify anomalies, conduct root‑cause analysis, and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
