Data Analyst
Experienced Data Analyst responsible for extracting, transforming, and visualizing operational data to support decision‑making for naval shipbuilding programs, using SQL, Python, and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and data pipelines to support reporting for shipbuilding projects.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and statistical analysis using Python to identify trends and operational insights.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau and Power BI for senior leadership and program managers.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to define data requirements and ensure data integrity.
- Document data models, data dictionaries, and reporting processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of analytical experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and statistical analysis.
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
