About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with child welfare stakeholders to define business problems and identify relevant data sources.
- Extract, clean, and transform data using SQL, Python, and R to prepare robust analytical datasets.
- Conduct statistical analyses and build predictive models that uncover trends and inform policy decisions.
- Design and deliver clear, interactive visualizations and reports that communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Present insights and recommendations to external leaders, influencing program strategy and resource allocation.
- Initiate and lead new analytical work streams that expand the organization’s impact.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and database querying.
- Experience creating compelling visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ggplot2, matplotlib).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and ability to apply them to real‑world problems.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
