Remote contract Data Analyst responsible for extracting, transforming, and visualizing data to support business decisions, using SQL, Python, and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources using SQL and Python scripts.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Document data pipelines, analytical methods, and reporting standards for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience with relational databases and advanced SQL querying.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib.
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and ability to apply them to real‑world data problems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings into business‑friendly insights.
