Data Analyst - Buildkite

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable SQL queries and data pipelines to support product, engineering, and growth analytics.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports in Looker and Tableau that surface key performance metrics for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leadership to define analytical requirements and translate business questions into data solutions.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical testing, and A/B experiment evaluation to inform product decisions.
• Document data definitions, data lineage, and best practices to ensure data quality and reproducibility.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a data analyst or similar role, preferably in a SaaS or high‑growth tech environment.
• Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar) and a scripting language such as Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Hands‑on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Looker, Tableau, or comparable BI platforms.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to conduct statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and interpret results for non‑technical audiences.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross‑functional teams.
