We are seeking a sharp, analytical, and business-minded Data Analyst for Sales, inventory and Demand planning to join our team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind turning raw operational and sales numbers into actionable business strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor sales performance, track inventory health across our warehouse systems, and identify market trends to optimize stock levels and boost profitability.
You will utilize our modern data stack—including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central , SOLOCHAIN WMS , and Microsoft Fabric —to build predictive dashboards, spot inefficiencies, and help guide our purchasing and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Trend Monitoring: Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance across various channels to identify growth trends, seasonal patterns, and underperforming products.
- Inventory Health & Velocity Analysis: Monitor inventory levels, stockouts, and overstock situations. Calculate inventory velocity (turnover rates) to ensure we maintain optimal stock levels aligned with demand.
- Demand Forecasting: Use historical data and market trends to build forecasting models that help the purchasing team anticipate inventory needs and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Dashboard & Report Creation: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI to provide leadership with clear, real-time visibility into sales KPIs and warehouse metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to share data insights, investigate unexpected drops/surges in demand, and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Business Intelligence, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or Inventory/Supply Chain Analyst. (Experience within the automotive or parts distribution industry is a strong asset).
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI or similar visualization tools (Tableau, Looker Studio).
- Strong SQL skills for querying databases, extracting data, and merging datasets.
- Expert-level mastery of Microsoft Excel (data modeling, power qyuery).
- Experience or familiarity pulling data from ERPs (specifically Business Central ) and WMS systems (specifically SOLOCHAIN ) is a plus.
