Data Analyst
Data Analyst role focused on extracting insights from microbial datasets using Python, SQL, and statistical methods, and delivering visual reports with Tableau or R to support biotech, pharma, and food safety research.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and integrate large-scale microbial and phenotypic datasets from laboratory instruments and external sources.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines.
- Perform statistical analyses and machine‑learning preprocessing to identify trends, correlations, and outliers in multi‑omic data.
- Create interactive dashboards and visual reports in Tableau or R Shiny to communicate findings to scientists and product teams.
- Collaborate with microbiology, bioinformatics, and product development teams to define data requirements and support experimental design.
- Document data workflows, ensure data quality, and adhere to regulatory standards for reproducibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and multivariate analysis.
- Strong data‑visualization skills using Tableau, R (ggplot2), or similar tools.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally, communicate complex results clearly, and manage multiple data projects simultaneously.
