Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Working closely with leadership and collaborating cross-functionally, the Data Analyst utilizes applied statistics and business analysis to create data set and conduct analyses for system monitoring and change, ensuring absolute data integrity and transparency in all work. This position supports data-informed decision-making by executing monthly and ad hoc reporting while contributing to reproducible predictive modeling and data optimization projects. Additionally, the analyst assists with process mapping, workflow automation, and the pilot integration of AI utilities to transition manual tasks into streamlined, data-lake-supported dashboards built on clear, verifiable data logic. The analyst will utilize a strong quantitative foundation, an eagerness to learn advanced analytics, and a rigorous commitment to maintaining strict data accuracy and auditable transparency across institutional reporting.

CONTACTS
Department: Daily contact with the Senior Director and regular contact with other team members in the Office of Research and Technology Management to receive assignments and deliver reports.
University: Regular contact with UTech, administrative staff, and finance partners across management centers to clarify data elements and coordinate workflows.
External: Occasional contact vendors or external technical support representatives.
Students: Occasional contact with student workers as required.
