Security Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure systems and networks, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats using advanced security tools and cloud platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage secure network architectures, firewalls, and VPNs across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain SIEM solutions, conduct log analysis, and develop automated alerting workflows.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Develop incident response playbooks, coordinate investigations, and lead post‑incident reviews.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay current with emerging threats, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
