About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure Linux-based systems for FAA operations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling specific to aviation environments.
- Develop and enforce security policies, incident response plans, and compliance frameworks aligned with FAA regulations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into system development life cycles.
- Monitor security events, analyze logs, and respond to incidents to minimize impact on mission‑critical services.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering within regulated or aviation contexts.
- Proficiency with Linux system administration, hardening, and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption technologies.
- Experience with FAA or similar regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
