Cybersecurity Specialist - Food and Drug Administration

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive threat analysis and vulnerability assessments across federal systems.
• Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks aligned with Title 21 regulations.
• Implement and manage network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption solutions.
• Perform risk assessments and produce actionable reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with external partners to stay current on emerging threats and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity roles within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, HIPAA).
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
