Security Engineer
Cybersecurity Intern gaining hands‑on experience in network security, vulnerability assessment, and security operations using Python, SIEM tools, and Linux environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts using SIEM platforms.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and help remediate findings on network and application assets.
- Support incident response activities, including log analysis and evidence collection.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain security documentation and playbooks.
- Participate in security awareness training and help create educational materials.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related program.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Familiarity with Linux command line and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset.
