Security Engineer
Lead end‑to‑end RMF lifecycle for Navy information systems, owning ATO packages, continuous monitoring, and technical defense across multiple platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
Own the full RMF lifecycle for Navy information systems, from categorization to authorization and continuous monitoring.
Serve as the primary technical authority for building, maintaining, and defending ATO packages across multiple systems simultaneously.
Develop and implement security controls, perform risk assessments, and produce required documentation for NIST compliance.
Collaborate with system owners, security teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate security posture updates.
Provide guidance and training on RMF processes and cybersecurity best practices to cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity engineering and RMF implementation.
Deep knowledge of RMF, ATO processes, and continuous monitoring frameworks.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience with Navy or DoD information systems is a plus.
