Cybersecurity Engineer - Visa

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls for Visa’s payment infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead threat analysis and incident response efforts, coordinating cross‑functional teams to investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents.
• Develop and refine security architecture and risk assessment frameworks, integrating emerging technologies such as cloud security services and zero‑trust models.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security reviews, providing actionable recommendations to strengthen defenses.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed security best practices into the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related field, with a strong focus on threat detection, incident response, and security architecture.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience implementing security controls in hybrid environments.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
