Security Engineer
Cybersecurity Engineer responsible for deploying and maintaining security solutions, managing 24/7 SOC operations, and conducting penetration tests to safeguard client and internal infrastructures using Python, AWS, and advanced network security techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage security controls across client environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Operate and enhance the 24x7x365 Security Operations Center, monitoring alerts, investigating incidents, and coordinating response actions.
- Conduct regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments, documenting findings and recommending remediation.
- Develop automation scripts in Python to streamline security workflows and incident response processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to secure internal infrastructure, including cloud (AWS) and on‑premise systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, preferably within an MSSP or SOC environment.
- Strong knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, network security, and incident response.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS security services and scripting in Python.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP, CISSP) are a plus.
