Security Engineer
Lead the protection of university digital assets, designing secure architectures, managing cloud and network defenses, and responding to incidents while integrating emerging AI security solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network and cloud infrastructures across campus systems.
- Lead incident response and threat hunting activities, coordinating with IT and academic departments.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices for applications and data.
- Integrate AI‑driven security tools to detect and mitigate advanced threats.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess and remediate vulnerabilities in software and hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Proven experience with AWS security services and network security tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and analysis.
- Hands‑on knowledge of incident response frameworks and threat intelligence.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative academic environment.
