Security Engineer
Cybersecurity Engineer supporting the Air Force’s Kessel Run division, focusing on resilient command and control systems, threat analysis, incident response, and secure software development within a high‑security environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for C3C/Kessel Run command and control systems.
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and remediate risks.
- Respond to security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate mitigation efforts.
- Collaborate with software developers to embed secure coding practices into the development lifecycle.
- Document security architecture, policies, and procedures in compliance with DoD standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity within a defense or high‑security environment.
- Proficiency in network security, threat analysis, and incident response.
- Strong knowledge of secure software development practices and code review.
- Experience with DoD security frameworks (NIST, DISA STIGs) and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
