Security Engineer
Cybersecurity Engineer responsible for protecting federal agency systems through threat intelligence, incident response, and secure architecture design using advanced network and cloud security practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network and cloud infrastructures for federal clients.
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and recovery.
- Perform risk assessments and develop security architecture frameworks aligned with government standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into development pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles within government or defense environments.
- Proficiency with network security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Hands‑on experience with incident response, threat hunting, and security automation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
