About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Develop Python scripts for automation of security monitoring, log analysis, and incident response workflows.
- Lead compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and DoD regulations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a strong focus on network security and compliance.
- Proficiency in Python, AWS security services (e.g., IAM, VPC, GuardDuty), and security tooling (SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Hands‑on experience with security architecture design, incident response, and threat hunting.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, DoD) and ability to implement controls accordingly.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
