Security Engineer
Design and implement security controls for applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and CI/CD pipelines, applying security‑by‑design and risk management practices to protect a blockchain‑based insurance platform.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain security controls across web applications, micro‑services, and cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate security testing and hardening into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) to ensure continuous protection.
- Implement and manage security policies for Hyperledger Fabric networks and related blockchain components.
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis to prioritize remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security‑by‑design principles throughout the software lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure hardening.
- Proven expertise in DevSecOps tools (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Snyk) and automated security testing.
- Strong understanding of blockchain platforms, specifically Hyperledger Fabric, and associated security considerations.
- Experience performing risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation in complex, distributed systems.
- Solid programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation of security controls and incident response.
