About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document secure, hybrid (on‑premise and cloud) architectures that meet federal cybersecurity standards.
- Develop and implement automated control assessment pipelines and evidence collection for Continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO) programs.
- Provide engineering oversight and technical guidance for zero‑trust initiatives across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate security requirements into actionable design patterns and implementation roadmaps.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews to ensure compliance with government regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture and engineering, preferably in federal or regulated environments.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and zero‑trust frameworks.
- Proven expertise in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines) for security control validation.
- Hands‑on experience with continuous monitoring, risk management, and cATO processes.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
