Security Engineer
Designs and implements secure enterprise architectures, applying Zero Trust, cloud security, and NIST best practices to protect mission‑critical systems and data across complex, multi‑domain environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise‑wide security architecture blueprints aligned with Zero Trust and NIST frameworks.
- Design secure cloud solutions on AWS and Azure, including network segmentation, encryption, and identity management.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses to guide mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, program, and operations teams to integrate security controls into mission systems and lifecycle processes.
- Define security standards, policies, and reference architectures, and provide guidance on their implementation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architectural enhancements to improve security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing security architectures for complex, multi‑cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of Zero Trust principles, NIST CSF, and industry‑standard security frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with IAM, network security, encryption, and security monitoring tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams on security decisions.
