About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to identify potential threats and support incident response.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation planning across university systems and networks.
- Support risk management activities, including documentation, risk scoring, and mitigation tracking.
- Perform vendor security assessments, reviewing third‑party controls and ensuring compliance with university policies.
- Develop and deliver security awareness content for staff and students, promoting best practices and policy adherence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and basic network security concepts.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks and ability to document findings clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders.
