Experienced Cybersecurity Analyst SME to support USPACOM J6 enterprise IT, ensuring mission‑critical systems are protected, interoperable, and resilient across the Pacific theater through risk analysis, incident response, and threat intelligence.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events across USPACOM J6 enterprise networks and systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation planning for mission‑critical infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and baseline configurations aligned with DoD and NIST standards.
- Provide expert guidance on secure interoperability between mission partners and joint forces.
- Produce actionable threat intelligence reports and brief stakeholders on emerging risks.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate, contain, and recover from cyber incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity analysis, preferably within a defense or government environment.
- Strong knowledge of network security architectures, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection tools.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
