Cybersecurity Analyst focused on protecting IT and OT environments for a major transportation agency, leveraging Python, SIEM, and AWS to detect, respond to, and mitigate threats across complex networks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and secure both IT and OT systems, networks, and data across the enterprise.
- Implement and maintain SIEM solutions to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
- Develop and run Python scripts for automation, data collection, and threat hunting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and enforce security controls in cloud (AWS) and on‑prem environments.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses for critical infrastructure.
- Document findings, produce incident reports, and recommend remediation actions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on OT/SCADA environments.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS security services and cloud architecture.
- Strong understanding of incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
