Systems Engineer
Senior Cyber Systems Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and securing complex defense systems, integrating network and cloud security solutions while ensuring compliance with Secret clearance requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integrate secure cyber architectures for advanced defense platforms.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and mitigation planning across network and cloud environments.
- Develop and implement security controls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms to protect classified information.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to embed security requirements throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and security reviews for junior engineers and contractors.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain higher clearances as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or related systems engineering roles.
- Proficiency with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF) and hands‑on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
