Systems Engineer
Experienced Cyber Systems Engineer to design and deliver IA/RMF training, develop security architectures, and guide risk management processes using Python and Linux environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework training programs for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into system architectures and ensure compliance with DoD/IC cybersecurity standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and mitigation planning for mission‑critical systems.
- Develop automation scripts and tools (primarily in Python) to streamline security testing, reporting, and continuous monitoring.
- Provide expert guidance on Linux hardening, network security, and secure software development lifecycle practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years of hands‑on experience in IA and RMF implementation.
- Deep knowledge of DoD/IC cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST SP 800‑53, DIACAP) and Information Assurance principles.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and Linux system administration for security automation.
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver technical training material and conduct workshops.
- Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
