Senior Cyber Systems Administrator responsible for managing Windows server environments, Active Directory, and virtual infrastructure while ensuring network security and compliance for a DoD training program.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Active Directory services for mission‑critical training systems.
- Design, deploy, and maintain VMware vSphere virtual machines and related storage/network configurations.
- Develop and execute PowerShell automation scripts to streamline system provisioning, patching, and compliance reporting.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and vulnerability remediation, in accordance with DoD policies.
- Provide tier‑3 support for network connectivity issues, TCP/IP routing, and secure communications across the training environment.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR access.
- 5+ years of experience administering Windows Server (2012‑2022) and Active Directory in a high‑availability environment.
- Proficiency with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and virtual network design.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and configuration management.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, DISA STIGs).
