About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cyber security specifications, architectures, and implementation guidance for complex defense systems.
- Translate high‑level mission and policy requirements into detailed, verifiable engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses to inform design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition regulations, NIST standards, and other applicable cybersecurity frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on cybersecurity for defense or government programs.
- Proficiency in developing security requirements, performing risk assessments, and applying DoD/NISt guidelines.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Eligibility for a security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
