Intermediate cyber security researcher to conduct vulnerability analysis, develop exploitation tools, and support Red Team operations for naval aviation, leveraging Python, C/C++, Linux, and reverse‑engineering expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in‑depth vulnerability research on embedded and networked systems used in naval aviation.
- Develop, test, and maintain custom exploitation tools and proof‑of‑concept code.
- Conduct reverse‑engineering of firmware and binaries to uncover security weaknesses.
- Collaborate with Red Team members to design and execute realistic attack scenarios.
- Document findings, produce technical reports, and provide remediation recommendations.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux environments and reverse‑engineering tools (e.g., IDA, Ghidra, radare2).
- Demonstrated ability to develop exploits and vulnerability proof‑of‑concepts.
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
