Software Engineer
Senior specialist responsible for securing and governing BT's AI ecosystem, ensuring real‑time compliance, transparency and risk mitigation across cloud‑based AI services and autonomous agents.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and operate the AI observability and governance control plane, providing continuous security, transparency and compliance monitoring.
- Define and enforce AI risk management frameworks, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science and product teams to embed security controls and audit trails into AI models, copilots and self‑governing agents.
- Lead incident response for AI‑related security events, performing root‑cause analysis and remediation.
- Produce governance reports and dashboards for senior leadership, demonstrating trust and compliance metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on AI/ML governance, risk and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI model lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement security policies, controls and audit processes for AI systems.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST and AI‑specific guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical risk into business‑focused recommendations.
