Security Engineer
Lead security initiatives for a large health organization, driving threat detection, incident response, and secure architecture across cloud and on‑prem environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, ensuring compliance with health data regulations.
- Conduct threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and remediate risks.
- Lead incident response activities, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to contain, investigate, and recover from security events.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures, including secure coding practices and secure architecture guidelines.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to integrate security into the DevOps pipeline and continuous delivery processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles within regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on‑prem security technologies.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
