Security Engineer
Lead the protection of health data and infrastructure as a Cyber Security Engineer, applying advanced systems administration, network security, and cloud security practices to safeguard critical health services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across on‑premise and cloud environments to protect sensitive health information.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits, providing actionable remediation plans.
- Respond to security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to mitigate risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., PHIPA, GDPR).
- Manage security monitoring tools, SIEM, and threat intelligence feeds to detect and respond to emerging threats.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on systems administration and network security.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and security services (IAM, WAF, CloudTrail).
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
