Cyber Security Engineer II - First Citizens Bank

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and integration of Veza, the Identity Risk Identification platform, across the bank’s application portfolio.
• Analyze and improve visibility into identity and access controls, identifying gaps and recommending remediation actions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python) to streamline risk assessment and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security controls and monitor their effectiveness.
• Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments to proactively mitigate identity‑related risks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on identity and access management.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services for security automation.
• Strong understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
