Security Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments, driving incident response, threat hunting, and continuous improvement of security posture using SIEM, AWS, and Python automation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain security controls for cloud and on‑prem infrastructures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Operate and enhance SIEM solutions to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real time.
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments, providing actionable remediation recommendations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python to streamline security operations and incident response workflows.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security best practices into DevOps pipelines and application development.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and lessons learned, contributing to continuous improvement of security processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on network security and incident response.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and AWS security services.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
